Apple Juice For Infants

Apple Juice For InfantsApple juice safe for infants???

My son is 2 1 / 2 months and his doctor suggested giving him apple juice in infants and water (mixed half and half) for constipation. It helped, but now he loves it! Is it safe to keep him or give Sholder I dismiss?

It is safe and I would stick to dilute it with water well. It has a ton of sugar (which babies do not need) and can cause diarrhea if he drinks too much.
Also make sure it is getting enough milk and / or formula as the apple juice can fill the belly and it will not be hungry ..... feed him first, then fill with juice.

the doctor told u and should

you must give juice to the elderly as newborn babies to Urs ur not safe

yes its safe

Yes its safe, remember to dilute it, a lot of sugar,

Juice is acceptable, as long as no more than 1 cup per day undiluted. Just as it works for constipation, it will give him diarrhea if you give him too much. He could also be dehydrated during the summer, and at such a young age, he should really stick to the formula / breastmilk.

Yes, definitely. May i recco juicy juice as a trademark. my daughter loves it and it is not causing her diarrhea as other juices have happened.

It was the first thing that we have given all four of our children ..... I do not remember exactly how old, but it was while they were breastfeeding ...............

My daughter was also very constipated as a newborn, and three weeks the DEP said we give him a part of prune juice to 2 parts water. It is perfectly acceptable as long as your son is always getting the right amount of breast milk / formula (3 ounces for every pound of weight, I think). Remember, a constipated baby can not eat because his stomach hurts. So, if the juice does the job, it's nice to give him time to time.

You do not want to give too much, because you do not want to replace formula or breast milk, it should be. And you do not want to get too acid diareah not. But every once in a while should be good, as long as you replace "meal" with him.

I would say that if the doctor suggests, it must be capable of having, even if it is not constipated. Check with your doctor.

My doctor told me to do the same thing with my daughter. After obtaining his digestive system back to normal I cut the juice so it would not be drinking empty calories. She was also very weak and needed to gain as much weight as possible. Until your son is healthy and makes drinks or milk and I do not think it would hurt him to get a little juice every day or every two days.

Sure. But you also want to give a variety. Each baby has its own plan. As my daughter is Nesquik non-stop for her! Call your doctor for a list of beverages and baby food for your baby. Or if you have had children before, do what you identify with them!

OK, first of all, Congratulations on your new baby.

But now, I have already said and I'll say it again:

No No No!
Clearly not!

Everything I read about this problem says not to give juice. Breast milk is the _only_ food / beverage of your baby needs at that age!

The American Academy of Pediatrics and the WHO recommend exclusive breastfeeding during the first 6 months of your baby's life.

Sometimes the baby's stools are irregular, it does not mean he is constipated.

A 21 / 2 months of your baby should be in the form or, preferably, milk. His digestive system is not yet sufficiently developed for juice.

He loves it because it really SWE.
