Decorated with a theme Australian Outback, Outback Steakhouse is an ideal place for the whole family to eat.

Although items are steak and a good part of the menu, the concept offers a variety of chicken, ribs, seafood and pasta dishes. Restaurants exhibition of Aboriginal art, boomerangs, maps of Australia, and other Aussie-themed decor.

The menu continues the theme with items like Outback Kookaburra Wings Walkabout soup and grilled shrimp on the Barbie, among many others.

Every day, they start fresh, which makes each of their soups Aussie, dressings and sauces from scratch.

As part of the operation Feeding Freedom, Outback Steakhouse has been involved in the nutrition of our military troops stationed in Afghanistan. For a number of trips they have fed our brave American soldiers, British and Canadian participation in combat operations there.

Operation Freedom Food menu featuring dishes like Bloomin Onion Outback, Bonefish Bang Bang Shrimp, squid and Fleming. Also served were thick and juicy steaks, potatoes, pasta Carrabba signature, the Bonefish Longfin Tilapia Lobster Thermidor sauce and beef rib Roy.

- Steak Marinade Outback Steakhouse -

1-2 pounds of steak - sirloin, T-bone steak or rib

C. beer or ale

2 cups brown

1 / 2 t. seasoned salt

1 / 4 t. each black pepper and MSG

Marinate steak in beer for at least one hour in refrigerator.

Mix dry ingredients together good.

After marinating, sprinkle flour mixture over the steak. Rub it all over the steak. Let the steak in the refrigerator about thirty minutes.

Put a knob of butter on the grill. When it is hot, add the steak. Cook to desired doneness.

Grill Tip: When grilling steaks, they will be much better if you leave them at room temperature before grilling.

- Outback Steakhouse Sauteed Mushrooms -

1 / 2 c. onions

3 T. oil butter or olive oil

1 can beef broth

32 oz jar button mushrooms whole, or fresh mushrooms

1 / 3 cup of red wine.

Sauted onions in butter oil or olive oil until translucent.

Add beef broth and onions ito a saucepan. Simmer over low heat about 15 minutes.

Add mushrooms with juice and wine jar. Simmer another 15 minutes.

- Outback Steakhouse Aussie Fries -

1 bag of frozen French fries books

1 cup shredded Colby Jack cheese

6 pieces of bacon, cooked

24 fl. Oz. Groundnut oil

Heat oil to 350 degrees. If you do not have a thermostat, make sure the oil is hot enough, so that when you set a French fry in there it will cook immediately. If the French fry sinks to the bottom, and barely bubbles, it is not hot enough.

Fry potatoes in small batches, they do when they are golden brown and float to the surface of the pan. Be sure to drain the potatoes on paper towels. You can keep warm in the oven while the other fries are done.

When all the French fries are done cooking, and drained place them on a plate.

Salt the French fries if you like, and sprinkle with cheese and cooked bacon. Pop these back into a hot oven until the cheese starts to melt.

>> Sauce:

1 / 2 c. Sour Cream

1 tsp soup. Prepared horseradish

Dash cayenne

Dash salt

pepper black line

Mix all ingredients and mix well.
