Turtle Inn is on the southern coast of Belize, just north of the fishing village of Placencia Creole, which is located at the southern end of a 15-mile narrow peninsula in the Stann Creek district. There are 18 bungalows, right next to the beach, which are built in traditional Balinese style thatched huts, with large terraces screening, sufficient living space, decorated and carved doors. Built by the Mayan Indians that they provide just the right amount of tropical atmosphere. Each is comfortably rustic and has a bathroom with hot water, 110v electricity, ceiling fans and indoor tropical timber, with hammocks on the verandas. The two bedroom fully equipped beach house is ideal for honeymooners, couples and families wanting a little more independence.

To eat
There are two choices to eat.
First the dining outdoors, sheltered under a thatched roof, and cooled by sea breezes, is very comfortable and relaxed. Here you can enjoy food with a genuine Italian flair of the Caribbean, including authentic pizza cooked in a wood oven, and a wide variety of pastas and other traditional Italian Specials. The vegetables are organic, and I'm not forgetting the seafood freshly caught abundant. Dining in a light lantern is so romantic, and not forgetting the menu changes daily. The wait staff wear a beautiful Belize linen shirt and white sarong.
In addition to the main restaurant, there food on the beach under umbrellas. The plates are traditional wood trays covered with banana leaf. In a menu of seafood all you can choose your lobster (in season), prawns, lobsters and fish from the river, the conch cooked on the beach more polished coconut husks and served at your table at the edge of water.
