Bollinger Special Cuvee

Bollinger Special CuveeKrug Grande Cuvee Champagne?

I received several bottles of champagne, two Grande Cuvee Champagne Bollinger Special Cuvee and a champagne that were obtained from the first class flights with BA. One of Champagne Krug has been a wonderful trip on the Concorde. They told me they are somewhere in the 90s, but cannot seam to find a date anywhere. Any ideas on how you can tell how old it is please champagne or if and where I can find a date on the bottles?

Neither the Special Cuvee Grand Cuvee or are vintage Champagnes, but they are always nice. They have a code in small letters on the label from which the producer would tell you the year they were made, but that has nothing to do with a vintage (Bolly is on the label of the neck).

The Bolly perhaps a bit beyond now (non-vintage does not improve beyond a few years), unless it has been impeccably stored, but the Krug was made to last a bit longer (they say it is a vintage "multi" rather than a non-vintage). So it was reasonably stored, it will always be good.

Value, nothing beyond their nominal value (about 30 to 80 for the Bolly and Krug), and perhaps less if you can not answer for storage. If you can prove they have a connection to something like Concord, you can get more, but we need more of your word.
Probably best to have a couple of friends around and enjoy ... is what they did to, drink and enjoy.

All the above answers are correct .. Just one more thing to add, when you open them and drink, you will see that the caps of mushrooms will not go back to being mushroom-shaped as they were compressesd so long, and should pop "(that` ll be two things to be added) will be a muted sigh, because the CO2 released from the malolactic fermantation has been almost completely absorbed into the wine, after (so that "It is 3 things to add .. I'll go and come again?) wine is not as effervescent as you'd expect from a young champagne fresh because of the length of Summer in the bottle, but will continue to " foam "much longer and, fourthly .. the wine color will be much darker than you expect, get on the black gold rather than yellow color, the taste will be stronger, fruitier and with a longer finish. The Krug is the best because it was best to start. .. Enjoy

lucky you - I suppose the letters NV will be somewhere on the bottle if there is no time - if so then it is a non-vintage - all that means that the grapes used to make champagne can be from different years - it will be another great bubbles of these providers!

Alex is correct, they will NV and not a single year.

You should drink, because they are excellent wines, but not worth much and if you store them carefully will probably not improve.
