Mobile Software and supported various
Usually the software developed for a model of a mobile phone does not work on another, but developers who develop software allows small changes in the software so they can work on other models too. Also different companies may have their mobile phones based on different technology and firmware, so special software must be developed for different platforms. As a model of mobile phone can run java software on it, but the other is based on Symbian technology. Accordingly, the Company will develop software for their platforms.
It is a format that allows the user to access all the features of the device, this format is called BREW. As this format allows full access to the device features therefore its development process is modified mainly by software. It is available free, but to run the software on the mobile hardware a digital signature is required which can be obtained by tools issued only to mobile phone manufacturer. This free kit is known as BREW SDK (Software Development Kit). To download this software (even after we obtain the digital signature) in the phone software is regularly tested by the Qualcomm (developers of BREW) with the help of their TRUE BREW testing software.
