Centenario Tequila

Centenario TequilaDoes anyone have a recommdation premium tequila?

I lean more to anejo or reposado but I do take part in the tequila young, when I want something hard and gritty. Some I like, but if anyone has any suggestions for others and why they like it ... I am more than willing to try some on:)

gahh ... This list will be too long, but you get the idea.

Lots of drinking, but unfortunately most are not really understand or appreciate.

This is because in the United States, it is widely marketed to children college as a way to get "mad", which is largely lacking in the true nature of tequila.

As you can see on all the other answers, the word "premium" is quite subjective. It is also based on experience with tequila too, as anyone who knows nothing about tequila in any real way would not say Cuervo, unless they were referencing their Tradicional and Reserva de la Familia, which are the only 2 Cuervo tequilas they are marked that are not good.

Patron too, while good, is often mentioned because they spend more money marketing than any other tequila company, and thus when college kids are willing to spend Cuervo, they often go to the boss as they consider both its advertising, and their exploration stops there. Make no mistake, Patron is not bad by any means. But you can get better for less.

Some tequilas are very "woody" as they have been reared in oak barrels (often used barrels Jack Daniel's), so they pick a flavor woodys. Some are like tasting fruit. Some may be a bit peppery.

Also to get the correct tequila experience, do not drink anything that does not say 100% agave (like junk like regular Cuervo or Sauza). These are cheap poorly made tequilas designed to sell to college kids getting drunk. They are only 51% real tequila, and the rest are fillers such as corn syrup and grain alcohol (and thus the hangover the next day is born).

Also consider how you will drink.

slap shots - go for a blanco. Everything else is a loss of flavor and $ $

Sipped shots (how I recommend it) - just go and enjoy anejo without salt and a dash of lime. Chilled or on the rocks is good as straight.

Margarita - anejo is a waste, especially if the place is not using lime juice. Blanco and reposado Go.

Aging has a lot to do with taste, so try a bit to see the style you prefer, and remember how the aging is labeled:

Blanco (because it is quite clear) - no aging. Sometimes called silver or white.
Reposado - aged just two months, but can go up to 1 year. Sometimes called gold.
Anejo - very old, at least 1 year but less than 3 years.

Those are really expensive, you may even be older than regular anejos, and it is often called ultra anejos.

That said, many in your list of good tequila every day, but not what most people call "premium".

If price is no object and you want the best, Herradura Seleccion Suprema is. It is considered an ultra-anejo. It is $, or about $ 320/bottle 30/shot. This ultra anejo tequila aged 5 years. The color is dark brown and more like a smooth cognac or bourbon tequila cheap.

The best tequilas in the world are ultra anejos years have been for years, the Suprema being my favorite.

You can also visit Don Julio 1942 Don Julio Real, Jose Cuervo de La Familia and Gran Patron (sometimes called Platinum), which fall into the same category.

If you want a good tequila for less than $ 100, research from
