When you think of a great performance "in clean and simple design," What do you think? What are the top 20 "of achievements in the design clean and simple"? These should be well known man-made objects that are timeless and elegant.
They may extend over the whole history and come from any kind: the design of print, web, architecture, food, fashion, furniture, jewelry, art, sculpture, industrial design, etc.

This may seem kind of ridiculous, but I think that No. 2 pencil is one of the most well designed ever created. He does his job perfectly and includes an eraser in case mistakes are made, it can be refined by a rupture of lead, is very portable and very inexpensive. In short, the form and function converge in a very simple, timeless, and an incredibly useful tool.
