Glenfiddich Single Malt

Glenfiddich Single MaltGlenfiddich (Single Malt Scotch Whisky)?

I read that most, if not all Glenfiddich is most often distilled in former bourbon casks. What do the taste? Is it taste more like Scotch Bourbon?

Also, has anyone had any comments on Bailie Nicol Jarvie, how would you assess / describe the taste of whiskey? Distinct or not really? Good or bad?

Scottish distilleries have traditionally aged their whiskey in barrels used both to reduce costs nothing. Bourbon casks are many, because by law, Bourbon must be aged in new oak barrels. Both the Scotch and bourbon to take on the flavor of oak burned. Bourbon gets its color and most of its flavor from the barrel is fairly neutral distilled. Scotch is made from malt, and sometimes smoked malt, has a special flavor to begin. Some scotch is aged in barrels others (sherry, brandy, rum, etc., for a different flavor. In these cases, whiskey does pick up some of the flavor and color of the mind before.

Never tried BNJ sorry.
