Lindemans Beer

I always wanted to try the lambic because of how its done, but I was a little disappointed with it. It was a bit like a raspberry wine cooler. Whats a good lambic without a fruity taste?

Absolutely not! While Lindeman products were "authentic" Belgian beer facts, they are not at all what a traditional lambic flavors or odors, etc.. most popular varieties of Lindeman as fishing, Kreiker and raspberry, are much milder than the "true" lambic. They have not the acidity that Belgian lambic better. You might consider Lindeman (with maybe two exceptions) beers to be "user-friendly" lambic, at best. Real lambic is too tart for the average consumer.

If you want to try the real thing, look for the brand Cantillon. Do not expect to find as easily as if Lindeman. Another is Boon - if this brewery has a tendency to "sanitize" their lambic a bit, but not as much as Lindeman. Both have a limited distribution in the United States and represent both traditional spontaneous fermentation beers. But be prepared for a totally different taste and bouquet of products Lindeman.

Lindeman's lambic are very mild compared to other lambics.You buy unflavored lambic. They are called Gueuze (rhymes with "contusion").

There are lambics Liefmann.

without really fruity raspberry lambic I've never been able to drink all 0ne-lambic, but need not be so heavy with fruit.

try beer brewing ommengang three philosophers he has a bit of fruit in it, but just enough to add flavor, no sweetness.
