Liver Care - Dietary and Ayurvedic Treatment, Home Remedies The liver is the body of the organism, and most people believe the liver is more important in the normal functioning of the body than even the brain and heart. If liver damage, there could be serious complications, such as constipation, chronic gastritis, morning sickness, problems, etc. with the liver could be jaundice, hepatitis, cirrhosis and liver ( enlarged liver), all of which are potentially fatal illnesses. Ayurveda places the liver in the center of the body. This is the home of all five digestive Agni, or fire, so if something is wrong with the liver, digestion is the first activity to come under risk. The liver is also responsible for the conversion of plasma (Rasa dhaatu) blood (Rakta dhaatu) in collaboration with the spleen. Thus, defects can cause severe liver disease blood too.

(1) Herbs useful in the treatment of liver care
1. Berberis (Berberis vulgaris)
Berberis is called jaundice Bay for its beneficial effects on the treatment of jaundice. It is a bitter tonic which is made from the bark of the tree Berberis. It is taken in quantities teaspoon neighborhood where jaundice strikes.
2. Chicory (Cichorium Chichorium)
Chicory is one of the most useful plants in the treatment of liver problems. Almost all parts of the plant are important - flowers, seeds and roots. The juice of the chicory plant promotes the secretion of bile. This is why it is used in different ways to treat liver problems such as biliary stasis, sluggishness of liver, biliary obstruction, jaundice and enlargement of the spleen.
3. Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale)
Dandelion stimulates the liver and gallbladder to the proper use of fats in the body. It also helps detoxify the liver. Its juice is used in the treatment of liver problems most. Even for people suffering from hepatitis, dandelion tea is very beneficial.
4. Gokulakanta (Hygrophila spinosa)
This plant is used for the treatment of several liver problems including jaundice, hepatitis and liver disorder. Its root is prescribed in such conditions. A specially prepared decoction of the root (60 grams root powder mixed with half a liter of water and boil for about half an hour) was administered at doses of 30-60 ml twice or thrice a day .
5. Henna (Lawsonia inermis)
The cooling effect of henna is also beneficial in the treatment of liver problems. Its bark is effective in treating liver problems such as jaundice and liver enlargement.
6. Indian Aloe (Aloe barbadensis)
The Indian aloe stimulates the liver in the exercise of his functions normally. It is used in the treatment of jaundice and enlargement of the liver.
7. Indian Sorrel (Oxalis corniculata)
Indian sorrel is used in the treatment of jaundice. It took the form of fresh juice mixed with buttermilk, milk cow. It is taken once a day during jaundice.
8. Picrorrhiza (kurroa Picrorrhiza)
Picrorrhiza is a plant widely prescribed in the treatment of jaundice.
