Soy Drink How did you your child to drink soy milk? Now that my daughter is one year, I was told she is allergic to milk. I tried everything to get him to drink Silk (soy milk), I even bought all three flavors. She refuses, I even made her a banana smoothie because she likes bananas, but she still refused. I finally got to drinking soy milk from the powdered formula, but she prefers to drink the "real" milk. Any suggestions on how to do this? You said your daughter is allergic, by whom? A pediatrician? If it's a doc, it may be true. But if someone else, then I would not listen too closely. Your child is still able to eat cheese or ice cream? Anyway, here's a link to information about allergies to milk. Have you tried to pour yourself a glass of it and start drinking ... wait a while .. some toddlers prefer that their parents are eating or drinking. I wish you good luck on that. We use soy in our house and I can tell you that my children do not care about any of the soy milks upwards (and silk is the mark of good taste, we use it to cereals and others). It is a drink called Soy Soy Shake by WestSoy that one of the girls like (chocolate) - it just has a different texture and taste of the dairy aisle "soybeans. Another drink is Almond Breeze by Blue Diamond and the other girl likes. Both are fortified with calcium and such, and the two are in the aisle of the grocery store, not the dairy section. Our store has a food is "whole" of the section where it is kept, the "natural" is knowing where to look. Posted on March 1, 2010.
