St Michelle WineryWillows Lodge Woodinville wineries ideal complement to

Woodinvile has always been expensive for a getaway in Seattle for families like the CD Stimson - and now this area is to attract wine lovers from around the world.

Woodinville has been a true experience of flight for the sultans of Commerce in Seattle, and it is now - although for slightly different reasons. Back in the day he was hunting wild ducks, which attracted the bigwigs - Today, wineries, breweries and a luxury resort that seems to embody the spirit of the Northwest.

The station is the Willows Lodge - not a hunting lodge as Stimson once built on the adjoining property, but rather a luxury box that has all the refinements of stature who could want. No duck hunting here - the birds in these regions is already baked or grilled, like everything else in the famous resort restaurant Barking Frog, prepared to perfection. Our dinner and breakfast, there were opportunities for long memory.

The station itself is a tribute, somehow, to the huge cedar forest that once covered the entire region Woodinville. The Willows Lodge now includes Douglas Fir wood in the structure of the lodge. Heat, rustic feel makes this resort the feeling that any place in the Northwest you can find - as far as other regional cultures was, you can get. Adding to the ambiance is the giant stone fireplace in the lobby.

Our room at the Willows Inn was a fireplace of its own, carefully hidden in a corner of the area spacious bedroom. A king was provided with 300 inch son in Egyptian cotton sheets and duvets European. Nearby, a desk and lounge chair-plus-foot-rests have been complemented by a high definition television and entertainment system. A small refrigerator was available to cool a portion of the local wine. The bathroom featuring luxury appliances Dombracht and distinctive Mexican marble bowls and oversized whirlpool. Our room opened to a quiet garden with flowering of deciduous trees and Japanese maples held in a charming landscape that looks more like a city park than a hotel.

With all this, it is not surprising that some couples come to the Willows Lodge just to wine, dine and enjoy the company of another one of these luxurious rooms. But Woodinville offers a bonus: About 40 wineries are nearby, including Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery just across the street. This cave is another world of exploration for anyone curious about the art of winemaking.

Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery is the oldest producer of Washington and was really the genesis of a prosperous wine industry that has spread to several geographical regions. The property is now on 87 acres with a beautiful castle, majestic as the centerpiece. Visitors enjoy strolling the grounds and visit the wine shop and visit the wine production facilities, where a guide will help you serve different wines and answer all your questions about wine in general, and Chateau Ste. Michelle winery in particular. The Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery welcomes even big name entertainment in a series of outdoor concerts held each summer.

They tell you on the track that the producer is built near where Stimson lumber baron has his box, and the wines today started with the Company Pommerel wine which has been renamed after the American Wine Growers merge with another company. In 1967 the wines were first produced, then it was 1972 Ste. Michelle Vintners planted their first vines in Eastern Washington.

In 1976, Ste. Michelle Vintners built the castle to the French that you visit today in Woodinville and at this point that the company officially became Chateau Ste. Michelle. The producer has increased and so did its reputation for producing top quality wines. The producer has also worked for the region of the Columbia Valley in eastern wash.
