The hole should be about the size of a nickel.

You can put one of these bits on the end of an electric drill to cut holes. They are made in several sizes and can be purchased at any hardware store. Since your glass cutting it, do not just use eye protection, use a whole-body protection.

If you go to your local hardware store, they have a bit to cut tile and glass just tell them what its for and they will tell you where its at. Good Luck

Go to a tile store and get a Dimond coring bit, you'll need at least 3 / 4 "bit (not cheap !!!).

Try to get a glass cutter or a knife. It looks like a small pizza cutter. You should be able to find a set with all types of sewing store, or something like that.

Most hardware stores carry the bits that will job.look for bits marked Tile / bottle glass.while firmly hold the drill with a towel wrapped around it and little to advance SLOWLY to avoid breaking bottle.also use the small piece that meet your son.
