Wine Direct

Ugh! Oklahoma law prevents shipments of wine directly to a consumer.
vintners of others in our state hold a strict control on sales and are afraid of competition.
This restriction is not helpful to our state wineries, which are not allowed to ship out of state as well.
We had some bills before the state legislature, but they are dead for this session.
Does your state allow direct transport or if not, are you fighting to overturn the law?

I know. I am in Oklahoma and it stinks. I suspect that the recovery "molies Holy" could have a finger in this pie too particular. We struggled to get liquor by the drink in restaurants, etc. and we have only relatively recently won the battle to be able to have the lottery here. For the most part, I really love living in OK, but there are only few things where I feel "The Church is always sticking its nose in too many cases of citizens. What other possible reason could there be legitimate to have this restriction? Maybe we should all send an email to the Governor for him.

I never thought, and I just received an email the other day. A company wanting to send me a number of bottles of wine for a particular amount. I'm not sure that Pennsylvania has restrictions. We are a republic also.

There are many "smaller" wineries in our great nation. I found a few in West Virginia, and some here in Pennsylvania. I never had the opportunity to stop at a few that I found in Virginia .... always wanted to though.

I'll go look and see if I could order the wines they advertising.

I am in Virginia and we had to circumvent the law! It can be done!

It's terrible to do this to small wineries! They were killing the trade of Virginia and we are a republic!

To make them go through a distributor ... and then finally to have wine to sell a much higher price ... was killing business because many people do not pay twice for a wine from Virginia for a California or Aussie head, etc.

We were lucky here. We got a couple of new young legislators who have family in the business of wine - lol

Continue to fight! It will happen when they realize they are putting their own failed state.
