Wine Filter

Wine FilterHow could I do filter the wine at home?

a coffee filter works (slowly), but its cheap. Your best bet would be carefully decanting the form of a bottle of wine or carbuoy, or using a bonding agent to help pull the sediment on wine and clarity.

For best results clearer wine you should not try to filter it. If it is already in the secondary fermenter (which should be a clear glass cylinder), the best thing you can do is rest as much as possible (for a week or more), then "rack" it. This means siphoning off the clear wine from sediment. They sell tubes trap to store homebrew. If the wine is particularly troubled youwill need racck a third time. There are also ingredients that you can buy in your homebrew shop to help clarify the wine. My husband uses the Irish moss to clarify beer.

Good luck!

Many wine and beer stores carry a large filter that looks like a lot, as only a big "Mister Coffee" filter. I was content to use paper coffee filters standard size defined in a strainer to filter wire bathed in wine. It was a very slow process, however, and I have continued to stir up sediment or it would clog ... but it is a cheap alternative.
