yes ... Boiling using baker's yeast as a nutrient is ok ... just a small amount of water to kill him first if it does not compete with your wine yeast.

No, technically it will work, but the result would be unfit for consumption

wine yeast is especially for wine and race is one of those things that are never messed with.
